Join us for a series of three 90-minute talk-and-sample sessions exploring the radical developments in pattern design and techniques that characterise the first three decades of the 20th century. Our theme incorporates diverse cultures and is divided over three events:

Wednesday 31st January 2018 -  An overview of English artist-designed textiles, with an in-depth look at the work of the Omega Workshop and emergence of new trends in block printing.

Wednesday 28th February 2018 - Artist-designed textiles in Vienna and Paris, with a focus on the influential work of the Weiner Werkstätte, Paul Poiret’s Atelier Martine and Raoul Dufy.

Wednesday 28th March 2018 - Sources of inspiration, from the Glasgow School’s effect on American Arts & Crafts embroideries to the impact of Indian shawls on Liberty Tana Lawns.

Ticket entitles one person into all three events on the Spring Short Course.
